Letter of Completion (LOC)

What is the LOC?

What classes need to be completed?

What can 9th grade students do to start earning the LOC?

  • Take AP Human Geography
  • Take AP Environmental Science
  • Work hard to pass all AP exams

What can 10th grade students do to stay on track to earn the LOC?

  • Meet with your High School Counselor and create a plan to earn the LOC
  • Take any or all of the following

AP World History
AP Psychology
Interior Design 1 and 2

  • Pass all AP exams
  • Earn at least a C grade in CE classes 

Students considering college majors with competitive admission should be earning A's

  • Take the Interest Profiler on Utahfutures.org and identify several options for a college major 

What can 11th grade students do in preparation for earning the LOC?

  • Meet with your Counselor in a College and Career Readiness (CCR) appointment and check progress on your plan
  • Complete at least Secondary Math 3 (Students with a STEM major should take Honors)
  • Narrow your list of potential college majors
  • Meet with your Counselor and make sure all required classes for graduation and for the LOC are in your schedule
  • Have AP scores transferred to college credit at Weber
  • Visit Weber and have them issue your Letter of Completion

What can 12th grade students do to finish earning the LOC?

  • Solidity your college major (This is a must, considering you will enter college as a Sophomore and will need to declare a major on day one)
  • Take the right math class for your chosen college major (STEM majors should take AP Calculus or at a minimum, CE Math 1050)
  • Meet with your Counselor and make sure all required classes for graduation and for the LOC are in your schedule
  • Have AP scores transferred to college credit at Weber
  • Visit Weber and have them issue your Letter of Completion
