Congratulations are in order for the Viewmont Theatre Department as their production of Crazy For You received a stunning 12 nominations at the Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards!

As one of the Top 10 Best Musicals in the state, the cast was honored with an invitation to perform at the Eccles Theatre on Saturday, April 12th during the awards ceremony—a testament to the exceptional work and spirit behind this show.
And the evening brought thrilling victories for Viewmont:
🏆 Best Choreography – With all the energy, precision, and tap-dancing flair that made Crazy For You so unforgettable, this award was a well-earned recognition of the cast’s dedication. Many of the students had never tap danced before the production, making this win all the more impressive.
🏆 Best Actress – Sophie Utley – Sophie’s show-stopping performance as the lead earned her not only top honors in the state, but also a scholarship and an invitation to the prestigious Jimmy Awards in New York City, held at Juilliard. This is an incredible achievement for an incredibly talented performer.
