Viewmont High School is preparing for an exciting Homecoming Week filled with dress-up days, lunchtime activities, school spirit, and several major events leading up to the annual Homecoming Dance.
The festivities begin on Tuesday, September 8, with Adam Sandler Dress Up Day. Students can come to school in oversized, casual outfits inspired by Adam Sandler’s signature style. Temporary tattoos will also be available during lunch.
On Wednesday, September 9, students are encouraged to wear pink for Pink Dress Up Day. The Homecoming Assembly will also take place that morning at 9:30 a.m. in the Main Gym. Later in the day, root beer floats will be served during lunch as part of the celebration.
The fun continues on Thursday, September 10, with Tourist Dress Up Day. Students can dress like travelers or vacationers, and compliment pins will be available at lunch to help spread positivity throughout the school.
On Friday, September 11, students can show their Viking pride by wearing school colors and Viewmont gear for Viewmont Gear Spirit Day. Spirit braids will also be offered during lunch.
Later that day, the larger Homecoming events will begin. The Homecoming Parade will start at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 11, traveling from the Rec Center to Viewmont High School.
At 5 p.m. on September 11, students, families, and community members can gather for the Homecoming Tailgate in the driving range. The Homecoming Football Game will follow at 7 p.m., giving students and fans a chance to come together and cheer on the Vikings.
Homecoming Week will conclude on Saturday, September 12, with the Homecoming Dance. The dance will take place from 8 to 10 p.m. in the Main Gym.
With themed dress-up days, lunchtime activities, the Homecoming Assembly, a parade, tailgate, football game, and dance, Viewmont High’s Homecoming Week gives students plenty of opportunities to participate and celebrate their school spirit.
